New townhouse developments pop up among apartment boom

Screen Shot 2017-01-15 at 10.29.55 PMIt is no secret that the apartment boom in Charlotte is going strong. Everywhere you look, it seems there is a new construction project underway, and many times that new construction development is an apartment building, or a mixed-use development that includes apartments. However, there are also developers who are building townhouse communities in fast-growing neighborhoods that are worth taking note of.

74 new townhouses are planned in South End on the former Tremont Music Hall site. Another townhouse development that will include up to 26 townhomes is planned for the 1.6-acre site at the intersection of Suttle Avenue and Isom Street right off of Wilkinson Boulevard. A third townhouse development would be situated on a 2.6-acre site located on Runnymede Lane just off of Selwyn Avenue and would include approximately 29 townhomes.

For more details on these townhouse projects as well as other developments in the area, be sure to read the full article at CharlotteObserver.com.
