Neighborhood spotlight: A look at historic Chantilly

Only a few minutes outside of the urban Uptown setting is the highly popular Chantilly neighborhood with its mix of older and newer homes set amid quiet streets shaded by mature trees.

The neighborhood is located off East 7th Street, nestled between Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood and is within walking distance of those areas’ hippest restaurants, bars and businesses.


It is not just the quaint bungalows and mature oak trees that attract young professionals and families to Chantilly. The neighborhood is also convenient to just about everything you could want in Charlotte. The best dining, shopping and recreation is easily accessible in every direction!

Uptown, Dilworth and SouthPark are all fewer than 15 minutes away! Charlotte Douglas airport is a quick 10-mile drive from Chantilly.

CMS schools currently serving Chantilly are Oakhurst STEAM Academy, Eastway Middle School and Myers Park High School. CMS’s Chantilly Montessori is also adjacent to the neighborhood.
